Our Tuning System

In many pianos, the main reason a piano cannot be tuned is a faulty or worn-out wooden tuning plank. We have the solution - our highly skilled piano tuners have created our own metal tuning plank which is precision-made in our factory.

Our tuning pins are installed in the metal plank which ensures greater stability and considerably less need to tune the piano/pianola, while providing a longer life span at the same time.

Compared to the wooden tuning planks which are used in modern pianos and therefore with a limited life span, our pins are ‘nested’ in the metal planks. This unique system means that your instrument can last for generations.

This principle has been used in the past by famous piano factories and, in the present times, has been replaced by the modern factories due to, what we believe to be manufacturing cut backs and a desire to produce cheaper but lesser quality pianos. We are proud of the fact that we manufacture all our tuning pins and metal tuning planks on the premises, all designed and produced by us.

Please note:

• Tuning planks are not to be confused with the iron frames of pianos. All our pianos have iron frames as all modern pianos do.
• Your instrument still needs to be tuned regularly. Having our metal tuning plank does not mean that tuning is not required, although it is less affected by the elements.
• Our tuning system is easily tuned by any tuning professional.
